Free online particle simulator

Run particles through your own machine.

  1. Drop your CAD (STEP, STL, OBJ, GLB). It stays in your browser; nothing is uploaded.
  2. Right-click a part to hide it, make it rotate, or turn the face you clicked into a moving surface.
  3. Place the inlet, set the feed rate, and watch the product flow.

Watch how, then try it

The tutorial plays next to the simulation, so you can follow each step on your own model: load the CAD, mark rotating parts, place the inlet and press Run.

About Flow Lab, the online particle flow simulator

Flow Lab is a browser-based particle simulator for bulk solids handling equipment. Load a hopper, transfer chute, belt or flap conveyor, screw conveyor, rotary drum or mixer, set which parts rotate or move, place the inlet and watch granular product flow through your own design. It shows flow paths, build-up, spillage, discharge rate and residence time in seconds, with no software to install.

Is Flow Lab a free online particle simulator?

Yes. Flow Lab runs in your web browser, is free and needs no sign-up or installation.

Which CAD files can I simulate?

STEP/STP, IGES, STL, OBJ and GLB. Set the file units and up direction, then mark rotating parts and moving surfaces.

Is my CAD file uploaded?

No. The model is read and simulated locally in your browser; it never leaves your computer.

How accurate is it?

Flow Lab is a fast visual particle simulation for checking flow paths, blockages and spillage. For calibrated DEM results you can design to, Norvik Systems runs full engineering studies.

Need numbers you can design to?

We run calibrated DEM, CFD and FEA studies on hoppers, chutes, drums, mixers and full process lines, and turn the results into a buildable design.
